Tomorrow is Record Store Day – a day celebrating independent record stores and music in general. The day was started in 2007 to support record stores many had been forced to close because of the popularity of downloads and pirated music.
On Record Store Day, record stores sell exclusive releases by famous bands, often on vinyl. Last year over 500 albums, only available in stores on this day, were released by all kinds of famous artists with everyone from Bob Dylan to Jay-Z pitching in. Read more about it here!
To celebrate, we’d thought we’d have a closer look at some music-related products!
This limited edition pair of rocking fragrances from Paco Rabanne are new versions of the popular Black XS fragrances for men and women and have been inspired by the tumultuous lives of singers Iggy Pop and Debbie Harry. Iggy’s flanker is an explosive mix of fresh ingredients along side masculine notes of leather. The Debbie Harry version is sweet and flowery, with rose, black vanilla and hellebore all making an appearance.
If rock isn’t your thing this classic gentleman’s fragrance is available in an excellent re-designed bottle. Classy, deep and slightly smoky, just like a good jazz club.
More of a pop kind of person? This fantastic gift set from the queen of the genre has plenty of bang for your buck at the price and features white flowers on an intensive gourmand background of vanilla and caramelized amber.
Rock (or pop) on!
