Foolproof Make-up For The Holiday Season

A red lip looks good on everyone, no matter your style or skin tone. The key is finding the perfect red lip for you. If you always found a red lip too out there, this is the time!
As your lips will be the vocal point for this look, keep the eyes simple. Use nudes and browns just a couple of shades darker then your skin tone. Apply a nude shade all over your eyelid and use a darker brown to define your crease. Use a subtle highlighting colour on your brow bone. Blend, blend, blend and don’t stop until everything has a gradient, uniformed look. If you would like to go for a more glam look pat a gold pigment in the middle of your eyelid. Some black eyeliner will complete the look. Try applying some dark eyeliner in your waterline for a smoldering look. Put on some fake lashes or use this amazing mascara. Do your eyebrows as usual.

Tip: To make your winger as sharp as you can, put some tape along your eyes. Any mistakes will be removed when you take it off.

For this look it is important that you have a flawless base, which is why we did the eye make-up first. Start by concealing any problem areas you may have (except for the under eyes). Since we will be using a heavy coverage foundation you can be pretty light handed with this. We recommend the Estee Lauder Double Wear (this baby will not budge!). The Match Perfect foundation by Rimmel is a great more affordable alternative. After applying the foundation your face will look very flat due to the high coverage used. It is important to contour and highlight to give your face more definition. If you will be out for more than 5 hours I would recommend layering a powder on top of a cream. Highlight with a concealer and pay special attention to the under eyes.

Add a light blush to give you a healthy glow and add a highlighter to show everyone the bombshell that you are. We’re completing this look with a bold red lip. Outline your lips with a darker lip liner to make your lips appear more plump. Fill the rest of your lips in with a deep red lipstick and blend the edges.
