Yves Saint Laurent Perfume & Women's Fragrance
Yves Saint Laurent was founded by designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner, Pierre Berge, in 1962 and pioneered many iconic looks, including the beatnik look, safari jackets for men and women, tight pants and tall, thigh-high boots, including the creation of arguably the most famous classic tuxedo suit for women in 1966, Le Smoking suit. YSL soon became the haute couture brand to follow, with a long list of celebrity's wanting his designs. Yves Saint Laurent achieved phenomenal success and arguably what no one else has ever done for this length of time; a brand that keeps expanding.
The first fragrance came along in 1964, "Y" for women, and was followed by many more. In 1971 YSL introduced their first male fragrance, "Pour Homme".
YSL's perfume and aftershave creations have a similar dynamic success to their couture counterparts and have a distinct place in the history of fragrance.
