Benetton Aftershave & Men's Fragrance

The Italian fashion giant Benetton was founded in 1965 by Luciano Benetton. In order to start his business he had to sell his brother's bicycle so that he could buy a knitting machine. He used the machine to make colourful sweaters that he sold to local stores. Luciano opened his first Benetton store in Belluno, in 1966. Only 3 years later the first store in Paris opened – all run by himself and his family.

The brand became extremely popular in the 1980's, when it was awarded the Grand Prix de la Publicité (Great Prize in Advertisement) in France. Benetton continued having great success and in 2005 the brand celebrated having 5000 stores throughout the world, including the huge flagship store on Oxford Street in London.

Benetton isn't just known for its clothes and provocative advertising campaigns, they've also released a wide range of excellent fragrances. Among the most popular men's fragrances we find Hot (1997), a woody and citric fragrance for women and men with mandarin, bergamot and lemon, Inferno Paradiso (2001), and Essence (2008). The scents play with the basic concepts of the brand: colours, tonalities, shapes and freshness.

Colors de Benetton Men is another classic, an oriental woody fragrance which first appeared in 1987. It was created by Ann Gottlieb with notes of coriander, lavender, green leaves, fir, jasmine and sandalwood. The follow-up United Colors of Benetton Man was created in 2006 and features woody notes, black currant and bergamot.
