Brut Aftershave & Men's Fragrance

Brut is an aftershave and grooming brand for men. It was launched by Fabergé in 1964 under the leadership of George Barrie and remains one of the most popular fragrances in the UK. It was one of the first products for men to consistently use celebrities and sports personalities to promote their products. Spokesmen and early promoters of the brand included boxers Henry Cooper and Muhammed Ali and actors Cary Grant and Roger Moore.

The classic Brut scent is an aromatic and woody cologne with lemon, bergamot, spices, and jasmine on a base of woods, tonka bean and vanilla. It is considered to be one of the cornerstone men's fragrances and has been an inspiration for many men's fragrances that followed. The iconic green bottle can still be found in most stores and is a given in any gentleman's cabinet.

Since the release of the original Brut (1964) the brand has also introduced several new versions of the scent. Brut Oceans (2007) is a fresh and acquatic take on the classic Brut cologne and featues breezy and fresh notes with some of the classic Brut scent. Brut Alaska (2010) features icy fresh notes inspired by the landscapes of the american state of the same with apple, pepper, clove, amber and leather taking a front set. Brut Special Reserve is an aromatic fougere scent which is a premium version of the original scent. It's loaded with extra citrus and spices with an increased intensity.

Since 2003 the rights to produce Brut have been owned by the company Helen of Troy Limited.
