L'Occitane en Provence Aftershave & Men's Fragrance

L'Occitane was founded in 1976 by Olivier Baussan who wanted to bring back traditional French soap making. In 1978 he opened his first boutique in Volx and the company would soon have great success with their natural soaps. It wasn't more than a decade later that L'Occitane released their first fragrance; Eau des 4 Voleurs (1991). This was a woody aromatic fragrance for men which was loved by many. Unfortunately, this fragrance has since been discontinued but the success of it prompted L'Occitane to bring out more scents for men. Now with over 15 men's fragrances in their portfolio L'Occitane have made quite a name for themselves in the fragrance industry.

As L'Occitane's main focus is skin care they also have a skin care range expressively for men. This entire line is based on the needs of a man and includes moisturisers, cleansers and shaving accessories. All products contain essential oils and soothing properties, optimized for the thicker facial skin that men have. Favourites in this range include the Cade and Cedrat ranges of products.

Not only are they involved with producing and selling their products, L'Occitane en Provence also has an online magazine called “Fantastic Provence” which was launched to promote the love and knowledge of Southern France. In 2009 the company launched eco-refill packaging to help the environment and reduce waste.
