Jil Sander Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Jil Sander, a German fashion house known for its classic simplistic designs, was established in the late 60's. They have released clothes for both men and women as well as many celebrated fragrances. Heidemarie Jiline Sander founded the brand after she completed her studies at the Krefeld School of Textils, with a exchange year at UCLA, and gained valuable experience in the fashion world by working for fashion magazines in New York and Germany. Her business began as a small boutique in Rotherbaum where she sold Thierry Mugler, Sonia Rykiel and her own creations. Jil Sander's first women's collection hit the runway in 1975 and was received with a lack of enthusiasm. This didn't stop her and after experiencing a growth in popularity during the 80's and 90's Jil Sander released their first men's collection in 1995. Jill Sander expanded in 2011 with the release of sister label Jill Sander Navy, a section of the brand that focuses more on contemporary creations.

Jil Sander Woman I (1979), also recognised as Woman Pure and Original, was the first Jil Sander fragrance to be released. This chypre fragrance opens with a bunch of green notes and coriander, flowing into a floral heart of tuberose, jasmine and lily of the valley. This concoction rests on a woody base of oak moss and cedar. Jil Sander created over fifty fragrances which are all unique and minimalistic, staying true to the brand's nature. Jil Sander Sport Water for Women (2008) is of the aquatic kind and features peach, green leaves and amber. A more recent favourite is Evergreen (2014) which falls in the same category as Eve (2011) and Everose (2012). Evergreen is a powdery fragrance that embodies the harmony nature brings. The green juice is housed in a classic glass bottle with green accents which is very pleasing to the eye.
