Vivienne Westwood Perfume & Women's Fragrance

Dame Vivienne Westwood is an English fashion designer famous for using punk and new wave styles in modern-wear. She received an OBE award in 1992 from Queen Elizabeth II and then advanced to a DBE in 2006 for “services to fashion”. She also won the British Designer of the Year award twice. She married Malcolm McClaren, the manager of Sex Pistols, with whom she opened a boutique in the 70s. That is where she made unusual clothing of rubber and leather that represented the punk and rock generation of those times.

In the 80s her style evolved into a modern reinvention of ancient fashion. One of her most notable works was the 1997-1998 collection inspired by Tudor fashion. Westwood now focuses more on the study of the fabrics and their movement and adaptation on body forms. She adopts cutting and tailoring techniques to create the shape and design to her creations. Her studies and design experiments are mainly driven by a passion for Art that she also studied at the University of Westminster. Vivienne Westwood’s gowns have been worn by various celebrities on the red carpet. Her elegant and subtle rebellious designs have bewitched stars like Marion Cotillard, Meryl Streep, Diane Kruger, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Aniston, Claire Danes and Helena Bonham Carter.

Her fragrances are purely for women and reflect Westwood’s personality and style. Her first fragrance was Boudoir, created in 1998, a floral perfume with top notes of hyacinth and orange blossom opening to a heart of narcissus, rose, cardamom and coriander. The Alice collections are her most recent creations. Naughty Alice perfectly embraces Westwood’s romantic and punk nature as it unifies the delicacy of the violet and ylang ylang with the strong presence of the black rose. Cheeky Alice is a strong flowery fragrance composed by accords of peony and rose. Flirty Alice is a soothing fragrance that blends citrus and bergamot notes with green tea and rose. Vivienne Westwood’s Let It Rock is a fragrance named after the boutique she opened with Malcolm McClaren. It is a woody fragrance with a heart of mandarin and freesia.
