It is hard to describe Elizabeth Arden; she is a business woman, a beauty advisor, a woman's advocate, but also so much more. Think Elizabeth Arden and you think make-up, Green Tea, Red Door and her wonderful 8 hour cream which can fix nearly everything from dry lips to chapped hands and rough feet.
Born in 1878, a time where women mostly stayed at home and took care of the house, Arden decided to start an education as a nurse. She did drop out of nursing school though, but not before she discovered that burns cream could be used as part of a beauty routine. Her true passion lay in the beauty industry so while working as a treatment girl in a beauty salon, she also developed creams in her own kitchen. Creams that was popular among her friends, so much so that Arden decided to launch her very own salon on Fifth Avenue in 1910. Here she taught women how to apply make-up and to coordinate their eye, lip and facial make-up. Fast forward 100 years and her salons are still as popular today as they were then, if not even more so.
The Green Tea Honey Drops Body Cream is a great example of the time and effort which has gone into the Arden products. Not only does it smell great, it is infused with real honey giving it a calming effect on dry skin, or the luxurious body lotions which can be bought on their own or as part of a gift set. Use the body lotion alone for a subtle lingering scent all day or par it with the EDT or EDP for a stronger longer lasting perfume.
All Elizabeth Arden products only consist of raw materials which are safe to use, so Arden do not test any of their products on animals unless required by law.
